A passive blogger in your midst

Although I may not directly blog on "Just Do It" often, hopefully you keep up-to-date with what I'm doing through my various RSS feeds and widgets I've mashed-up on "Just Do It!" These alternative methods allow me to keep my blog interactive without forcing me to visit my site daily. So...even if I may be a passive blogger, I've still found ways to share who I am and what I love. Occasionally, though, as I am doing now, I will share something with you directly. Below is a video a friend just shared with me through email called "Extraordinary Mothers." Enjoy!

68 pages of bookmarks and counting!

On Del.icio.us, you can create "groupings" of tags that can act as folders. Also, a tag can "belong" to one or more folders. What I like best about social bookmarking sites like Del.icio.us is that 1) I can easily access my bookmarks anytime, anywhere and 2) I can easily share my tags with others. For example, someone recently asked me about some of my favorite wikis/wiki tools. I could easily just share my ideas with a link to my wiki tag: del.icio.us/khuffman/Wikis . I also like the ability to feed selected tags on sites. We've done this on the SLA Knowledge Management (KM) division site. Whenever anyone finds an article of interest for members, we've ask them to tag it with SLAKM. Visit our SLA KM home page  and view our RSS feed on the right sidebar from Del.icio.us.

SLA leaders unleashed...

SLA has posted videos from 2008 officer elects! Recently transferring out of the libraries, I like Daniel's comment about embedded information professionals. Skills learned within the libraries carry forward, setting examples within other areas of an organization.

How to talk like a corgi... learning the basics of Web 2.0 (and corgi speak!)

SLA's 23 Things initiative will help members explore and learn from a selection of Web 2.0 tools. As I fell instantly in love with Web 2.0 tools a few year's ago, I thought I'd take an opportunity to share another love in my life: Pembroke Welsh Corgis. As I may be Web 2.0 biased, you'll never be the same after you start interacting and collaborating with the social tools of today! Enjoy!
